The Vetus Tinto de Toro and Verdejo are produced at two seperate estates both within Castilla y Leon. The Tinta Do Toro (the local name for Tempranillo) is produced from 20 hectares of old vines, located in Villabuena del Puente within Toro. It is a project which was started by the owners of Izadi in the Toro DO, with their first vintage in 2003. A recent addition to the range, is the Flor de Vetus Verdejo, sourced from the Rueda DO where the Izadi family also own vineyards.
This wine is bright yellow in colour with youthful highlights. On the nose, it has rich aromas of citrus and peach with floral notes. On the palate, tropical notes with ripe lemon touches lead onto a long, lively and refreshing finish.
