Named in honour of the people of Tequila, El Tequileño was founded in 1959 by Don Jorge Salles Cuervo with a vision to create only the finest tequilas. 98% of the distillery residuals from production are recycled and turned into natural fertilizer for the next generation of agaves. El Tequileño are leading the conservation efforts of the spring water from the Volcán de Tequila.
Starting with the most premium agaves exclusively matured in the Highlands of Jalisco. These are then combined with the mineral-rich water from El Volcan de Tequila and distilled in copper pot stills. Aged for 3 months in large American Oak barrels resulting in a balanced, and unique combination of aroma and flavour.
This tequila has sweet tones of agave with hints of vanilla with a cooked agave and a dry finish with hints of oak.
