A winery with a great story. Founded in the 1960s by a group of Stanford University PhD students in the Santa Cruz Mountains, Ridge has championed a uniquely American spirit.
Guided by legendary winemaker Paul Draper, whose philosophy is; ‘find intense, flavourful grapes; intrude upon the process only when necessary; draw the fruit’s distinctive character and richness into the wine’.
Ridge Winery has built up a cult-like following over the years with their Montebello estate wines and delicious field blends based around old vine Zinfandel. Wines of intense fruit purity, opulence, balance and all round enjoyability.
