Description

The Antinori family started investing in the Puglia in 1998 as they believed that this is one of the most promising regions in Italy for producing top quality wines with a strong territorial identity.

Tormaresca is made up of two estates in different areas of Puglia: in the central, inland region of Castel del Monte they have Aglianico, and in the Salento peninsula of the extreme south-east, Primitivo and Negroamaro. Cabernet and Chardonnay are grown in both zones, giving the winemaker a broad palette from which to blend the very consistent wines. Antinori only invested here in 1998, yet in that time Tormaresca has become a flagship of Puglian production. The Masseria Maìme estate is regularly one of Puglia’s very finest, making terrific wines from its greatest local grape, Negroamaro.

Furia di Calafuria was crafted to celebrate the excellent quality of Apulian rosé wines. The name Furia (‘fury’ in English) is a reference to the energy of natural elements. This wine aims to showcase, in a graceful and elegant way, a perfectly harmonious balance of its three composing grape varities: Negroamaro, Cabernet Franc, and Syrah.

A delicate peach-blossom-pink color. On the nose, its alluring bouquet offers aromas of pineapple, pink grapefruits and apricots accompanied by floral sensations of jasmine and orange blossoms. The palate is pleasantly fresh, savory closing with a pleasing citrusy finish/p>
