The leading (small) estate in the Dao revolution. At around 450m, Quinta dos Roques lies in the Dao heartland, just outside Abrunhosa do Mato. Luis and Luisa Lourenco lead this family estate, producing a wide array of meticulously assembled wines, where both traditional blending, and varietal offerings both excel. A terrific Jaen (Mencia)-led blend, which also features some Touriga Nacional and Alfrocheiro, aged without oak. Unbeatable value!

Perfectly clear dark rubi colour, brilliant, with an intense fruit bouquet, with wild berries and pine needle notes. On the palate it is very supple with soft tannins and a nice finish.

With typical Dao freshness, this is a herb-fruited, honest reflection of this great appellation. It's fun and immensely drinkable.
