Bodegas Emilio Lustau was established in 1896 and was initially a small family concern until the founder`s son-in-law placed it on a business footing. The firm is perhaps best known as pioneering the Almacenista system, whereby individual dry Sherries are produced from small private holdings. These are bottled under Lustau`s name but with the individual bodega's name on the label as well. Today they are amongst the most sought-out Sherries in the region.
This is aged in American oak casks through the traditional solera method in Lustau's wineries in El Puerto de Santa María, a seaside town situated in the Sherry triangle. The wine is pale yellow, with a fresh, vibrant nose, reminsicent of yeast, leading to a dry and mouth-watering palate. Serve cold as a deliciously refreshing accompaniment to green olives and almonds on a hot day.
Pale straw colour, dry, light and smooth. This Fino is laced with scents of the sea and profound “flor” aromas of roasted nuts, almonds, pastry and green fruit. Clean and fresh, with a slight taste of tangy yeast.
