Far Reaches Dry Gin

Description

Far Reaches is hand-distilled in a 500-litre pot still in London. The small batch process allows maximum spirit contact with each botanical, and even heat distribution throughout the distillation, resulting in a superior product.

The base of the gin is a premium English grain spirit that has been distilled four times, but the real magic occurs when the 13 signature botanicals are infused with the base spirit and distilled together for a fifth time. This five-hour “finishing touch” yields only 200 litres of the finest distillate. The whole process is carefully monitored and only the heart is retained for bottling. 

Once our gin has been distilled, there’s a minimum 10-day resting period to allow the essential oils from the botanicals to develop fully. (Another signature approach, often skipped by other distillers.)

No additives, flavouring, colouring or any other ingredients are added at this point, so that Far Reaches meets the strict standards of a London Dry Gin. The gin is even bottled on site in London, making it one of only a handful of special spirits to be conceived, distilled and bottled in the British capital – the historical home of gin.
