"The Valpolicella Palazzo di Campiano displays refined aromas of wild fruits and flowers, invites you to sip more with its earthy notes of forest floor and spices. On the palate is elegant and juicy with a velvety finish.."

The top wine from the finest vineyard site at the exceptional Vicentini estate. This is only made in outstanding vintages and production is less than 1000 bottles.

Agostino Vicentini and his son Emanuele and daughter Francesca operate in the hills of Soave. It is here that they carry on the tradition started by Agostino’s father, a tradition that extends four generations. The timeless enthusiasm and vitality has allowed them to achieve continued success in producing award winning wines.

Unlike the Idea Bacco, the Palazzo di Campiano is a Valpolicella Superiore made in a pure style with no drying of the grapes. Fruit is sourced from a single vineyard of just one hectare near Cazzano di Tramigna which lies at between five and six hundred metres above sea level on volcanic soil.

The vines are usually picked late to extract maximum flavour and balance from the grapes. After two rounds of sorting by hand the final selection is crushed and fermented with the skins in temperature-controlled steel tanks, then lightly pressed and decanted into used tonneaux for 18 months.

“The Valpolicella Palazzo di Campiano ' elicits applause. The vineyard, located at over 400 meters above sea level, is managed by limiting its productivity as much as possible and the harvested grapes are pressed without resorting to drying. The result is a red of great expressive power, with wild cherries, pepper and fine herbs that run continuously” Vini d'Italia guide by Gambero Rosso

In Agostino Vicentini's rigorously classical style, without the use of appassiment. The nose shows fragrant strawberry fruit and crushed black peppercorns with hints of woodsmoke and dark chocolate. Round and ripe wich lithe but juicy flavours of liquorice and plum, it has a really firm finish with bitter chocolate and black pepper. So very Corvina. Drink 2023-2030
