"Soave 'Il Casale' 2021 will astonish you for its complex character on the palate more than its intense aromatic aromas on the nose. Rich, with extraordinary savory notes, with a long finish led by a gentle acidity."
Vicentini Agostino and his son Emanuele and daughter Francesca are the 4th generation of Agostinos to run their winery in the hills of Soave. Their timeless enthusiasm and vitality have allowed them to achieve continued success in producing award-winning wines.
A consistent Tre Bicchieri (Three Glasses) award winner across many vintages in Italy's top wine guide, Gambero Rosso. The highest accolade. This is, quite simply, one of the greatest Soaves we have ever found. Il Casale is a single vineyard wine planted on sandy, volcanic loams this is a wonderful contrast to the most famous Soave in the region, Pieropan.
After a careful selection of the bunches through an important thinning in the summer period, the grapes are left to ripen and harvested in the first ten days of October. Fermentation and maturation takes place in steel; a wine of great structure and sapidity.
This is pale golden in the glass; the nose is subtle to start off with and shows delicate white mushroom and earthy aromas along with baking spice, on the palate this has fresh peach and apricots with baking spice and orange peel.
This is exclusive to us at Philglas & Swiggot and is one of our perennial best-sellers.
