Description

Very much a family affair! Christophe Allard, the father, former CEO and co-founder of Teleperformance, bought the vineyard in 2009 and undertook many restructuring investments to raise the quality of the wines. In 2010, Louis Allard, the son, integrated the team as commercial and technical director. He always had the ambition to convert the vineyard to organic and his work will be recognized in 2022. Eric Boissenot, a major oenologist-consultant of the most influential of classified growths is also looking after this estate on which he lavishes his expertise! The target is clearly defined: Sigognac is considered and managed as a wine of high-quality potential.

The nose is fruity, aromatic and offers a fine intensity as well as a very fine flowery side. It reveals notes of fleshy blackberry, fleshy strawberry, small notes of toasted hazelnut associated with fine hints of sweet spices and toasted. The palate is fruity, juicy and offers freshness, roundness, a beautiful finesse of the grain as well as aa fine acidulous frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy cassis, pulpy/juicy blackberry, notes of crushed raspberry associated with hints of violet, toasted, chocolate and fine hints of toasted hazelnut. Good length.
