Description

The Clos du Gravillas estate was created in 1999 by American John Bojanowski and his wife Nicole and is based in the village of Saint-Jean de Minervois in the shadow of the Montagne Noir in the Minervois region of Languedoc-Roussillon. The estate is run strictly along organic lines and today produces some of the finest wines in the region. The couple originally started off with just 1 hectare of ancient Carignan and Grenache Gris vines and over the past 25 years have acquired more land and planted more vines to now farm an area of 6 hectares.

'l'Inattendu' translates as 'unexpected' and that's certainly the case with this surprisingly full dry white wine. It is wonderfully fresh but mineral and very complex. Made from the Grenaches (plus a bit of macabeo) fermented and aged (10 months) on lees in 500L barrels.
