Description

The Durup family, under the directorship of Jean Durup’s son, Jean-Paul, are the largest private landowners in Chablis.

Based in Maligny, they now have some 155 hectares under vine. They have always been great proponents of Chablis made without the influence of oak and everything they produce is vinified and matured in inert tanks.

The vineyard is located in famous localities such as Ardillier, Grande Côte, Bois Séguin and Homme Mort. The exposure is oriented to the west. However, certain plots face the south and are generally located in small valleys whose micro-climate favors concentration and richness.

The resulting wines are always benchmark examples of clean, fresh, pure Chablis. Pale yellow green colour with a mineral nose. It has the typical flinty character, with lemon zest and apples in the palate. Elegant, beautifully mineral with restrained fruit and plenty of refreshing acidity.
