Poderi e Cantine Oddero was established in the late 18th century by the Oddero family, who have lived in La Morra since the first half of that century. Today, the wines are made by, Mariacristina, and her grandchildren, Isabella and Pietro, who represent the seventh generation of vinicultural tradition.

With a total of 35 hectares, the Odderos cultivate some of Piemonte’s most famous wines, 16.5 hectares are cultivated to produce Nebbiolo for Barolo and Barbaresco. A key element in their philosophy is respect for the natural heritage of the territory as well as the health of their customers. In 2008, they began practicing organic vineyard management, gradually altering habits every year. 

The Langhe Nebbiolo underwent maceration for around 15 days and aging occurs in different size oak barrels for 14 months and then concrete for 3 months. We think this punches totally above its weight! Classic Nebbiolo aromas of ripe cherry, tar, potpourri and dried rose petal, this is just a real joy. As opposed to some quite heavy wines of the vintage this is beautifully balanced.
