We've always loved the whites wines from Vincenti Agostino but in years past I have been less convinced by the reds, and in each of our recent trips to Italy we have declined to take them on but always giving feedback. Well this year there has been a huge jump in quality, and the wines show more clarity and brightness of fruit than any time in their past so we are delighted to bring them back to Philglas & Swiggot after an absence of more than 3 years.
This is a light and delicious red made from a very good vintage in Italy, notable for its freshness. At just 12.5% abv this is a great alternative to Pinot Noir, and is similarly laden with bright cherry fruit and gently savoury pomegranate notes. Will take a light chill beautifully.
