Tête-à-Tête is our fun easy drinking assemblage of Mediterranean varietals. Domaine de la Terre Rouge start blending their wines from their younger vines and more forward tasting barrel lots, keeping drinkability in mind.
2012 was a year with their Rhône varietals expressing particular brightness and ripe fruit. This wine drinks like wines from solid Côtes-du-Rhône-Villages vintage: sappy, spicy, mouth-filling, and nuanced. It is an eminently enjoyable everyday bottle with deep boysenberry fruit aromatics, smoky, meaty, gamey complex flavour components that emphasize their terroir, and a lengthy creamy texture.
Aged for 16 months in a mixture of French barrels. This is a great California wine value !
