One of our favourite wines and a real crowd pleaser. A wine produced by the Pulenta family who moved from Italy to Argentina 104 years ago and planted their first vines in Mendoza. Grapes are grown at up to 1000m altitude allowing them to achieve ripeness of flavour while retaining acidity. “Structured, yet elegant”, the Italian winemaking heritage that nurtures acid and tannin comes through, making this wine an ideal food-partner.
A unique blend of Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Tannat. On the nose the flavours are warm - nodding to its dry, desert origins - with alluring black fruit, sweet green oregano and thyme spice aromas, and a very attractive black pepper note. These linger onto the palate, where the wine’s proportions become evident with a careful transfer of weight and structure while retaining elegance. The Argentines know their beef and craft wines to match that in every sense. A great bottle to crack open and enjoy for its youthful exuberance, or put it in the cellar for a few years and watch it transform.
