The grapes for Rinforzo grow in vineyards located in the hills surrounding Manduria, deep in the heel of Italy's Puglia region. After harvest they are carefully air dried for four weeks to concentrate their aromas and flavour intensity. The name “Rinforzo” (reinforce) references this winemaking method. The wine has then been aged for 9 months in medium toasted oak barrels.
This results in rich, full, dark chocolate and Mediterranean herb flavours, Rinforzo wine strikes a perfect balance between an opulent mouthfeel and silky elegance.
