Phanus is a project led by Vasco Croft and is one of the poineers of Biodynamic and Natural farming and winemaking in Portugal. With exceptional conditions of soil and solar exposition, the vineyards lie on softly inclined hills looking over the Lima River. More than 20 hectares of an ecologically sound territory, rich in bio-diversity, in which you will find, besides the vines, forests with species of acacia, oak, beech, pine and eucalyptus, chestnuts orchards and a park of century old monumental trees.
The Phanus is made from 100% Louerio grapes and undergoes 8 weeks of skin contact and lees aging in clay Amporae. Medium lemon in color. On the nose there is exotic fruts, white pepper, citrus and peach. Good acidity, dry tannins with flavors of smoke, lemon, flowers and peach. Loverly long ligering finish to the wine.
