A specialist in Meursault with 10 hectares of vineyard in the village, you can be confident of finding that classic Meursault power and notes of dried butter, aligned to a fine, silky and very classy texture that remind of Puligny.
'Widely considered to be one of the best three vineyards in Meursault, just behind Les Perrières and as good as Les Charmes. The name derives from the juniper bushes which used to grow on the site. Latour-Giraud own nearly 2.5 hectares (just under 20% of the total) with two plots positioned at the top (in Genevrières-Dessus) which is regarded as the finer part and placing it on the same plane and elevation as Les Perrières. Wines from here tend to age beautifully with haunting elegance and fine, stony minerality. The 2019 is exceptional, complex with a delicate smoky hint, the palate is pure as a fresh breeze with a long, glorious finish. Best white wine in the tasting.' Justin Knock MW, tasted December 2020
