François Raquillet is an 11th generation vigneron and having run the family domaine for 30 years he’s vastly experienced. His daughter Jeanne joined the business marking the start of the 12th generation.
'This stood out as a richer, sumptuous wine that reminded me a little of the Rhône with a sun-kissed power and ripe, sweet tannins. If you enjoy drinking classic Californian Pinot Noir, or those from Central Otago in New Zealand you’d really enjoy the hedonistic pleasure of this wine. Sourced from three vineyards, all south and east-facing, comprised of mostly clay with some limestone. The average vine age is 60 years giving this low yields and plenty of intensity. Drink over the next 5-8 years with gusto.' Justin Knock MW
