Marqués de Murrieta was one of the first Rioja Houses to be established, in 1852, by Luciano Francisco Ramón de Murrieta, one of the founding fathers of modern Rioja winemaking. He championed the indigenous grape variety Tempranillo, using techniques learned in France to develop greater complexity and longevity. This pursuit of quality continues today, with the top wine Castillo y'Gay red being rated 'One of the best wines of the world' by the Wine Spectator and the White getting 100 points across the board.
Join us as the UK Brand Ambassador, Christine Allen, takes us through a stunning lineup from their estate in Rioja and their sister project in Rias Biaxas. These are truly handmade, world class wines from the oldest family-owned estate in Rioja.
