One thing that always shines when we pour the Ar Guentota for anyone is the sheer pedigree of this wine. It is made by the legendary Bertrand Bourdil, winner of not one, but two 100 point scores during his time at Château Mouton Rothschild. Then there are the 118 year old vines from the best sites, up in the hills above Mendoza, high above the mass production plateau.
'This is of deep ruby colour with vibrant purple tinches. Nose is packed with black plums and black cherry, hints of candle wax and baking spice. On the palate this is full-bodied and rich, yet more elegant and balanced than most Malbec and it has a fine line of acidity running through, showing off the cool high elevation vineyards where it comes from, with finely polished tannins.'
