Leclerc Briant was founded in 1852. Bertrand Leclerc Briant, the 3rd generation of the family, was one of the first in Champagne to move away from the use of chemical fertilisers and pesticides and in 1970 his son Pascal went one step further and began experimenting with biodynamics.
Following the 2000 harvest, Pascal decided to convert all the house’s vineyards to biodynamic farming. Unfortunately Pascal passed away in October 2010 making this release one of the last to be seen by his guiding hand and from fruit grown in the Leclerc Briant vineyards.
