Enrique Basar and Elisa Ucar finally followed their dream after extensive sudies in viticulture, oenologie and business marketing. Pretty good requirements to start their own project. Both are passionate about Garnarcha (Grenache) and are absolutely wonderful people, always with a beaming smile on their faces. After long searching and evaluating soil types they found old vine Garnarcha plantings high up in the mountains in the north of Spain. High altitudes bring breezes over the vines and relieves them from the heat they need to cope with during the summer afternoon hours. Nights are cool which is another plus point and makes such a difference to the wines.
This is not your usual rich warming Grenache such as from Priorat, but is rather delicate and brooding. The wine will benefit from 20 mins decanting. Black cherries, damson and velvety well-managed tannins with finesse and freshness. Quite lovely for any kind of roasted or BBQ'd red meet or poultry.
