This beautiful château overlooking the vineyard was rebuilt in the nineteenth century.
Bruno Martin is the 7th generation of his family to look after this excellent terroir. Today, his son Guillaume, 8th generation, is already hands on and excited to continue the family tradition.
Château Roland La Garde now covers 29 hectares with vines of an average of twenty years old on a clay-limestone terroir. Cultivating 74 % of Merlot , 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 6% Malbec, these varieties allow to produce a range of 3 red wines.
'This has a nose packed with forest berries, raspberries, hints of stems and herbs and a whiff of mint along with vanilla & sweetspices from oak ageing. Dry on palate with medium, well-structured but ripe tannins. Ripe, juicy fruit mingles with hints of zedarwood. This is an ouststanding wine in its price category and punches well above its weight.'
