Situated near the 12th Century church in Lalande de Pomerol. Sablard originally consisted of just two gravelly hectares, but is now up to fourteen. Eight of these hectares are located in a single block surrounding a modern cellar. Responsible and constantly developing winemaking methods have made Château Sablard du Grande Moine consitently one of the appellation’s top producers.
Deep red in appearance with delicate notes of sweet red fruit, black plum, cedar and beautifully judged oak. A well balanced, full bodied claret with great poise and length. Perfect with roast beef or lamb.
