The Farr estate is located in Geelong, Gary Farr and his son Nick make small quantities of single vineyard Pinot Noir and Chardonnay that rank with Australia’s best. Gary has been making wine since the early 1980s in both Australia and Burgundy. Nowadays, Nick has carved out a reputation all his own and was named Winemaker of the Year by Gourmet Traveller Wine in 2020.

Clonakilla is one of the leading estates in Australia, with an enviable reputation for Shiraz/Viognier. Clonakilla means ‘meadow of the church’ in Gaelic and is the name of the founder’s grandfather’s farm in Ireland. In 1971, Dr John Kirk planted the Clonakilla vineyard at Murrumbateman, near Canberra. At the time, he had no idea that his vineyard would one day be celebrated as one of the best in the country.
