Durigutti is a family winery set up by two strapping brothers Héctor and Pablo, who are Mendoza born and bred. Located in the heart to Lujan de Cuyo, seen by many as Argentina’s finest winemaking area, they produce Argentine classics like Malbec and Torrontes, but also some of the country’s most innovative and thrilling wines.
This old vine Bonarda comes from avineyard planted in 1938 in Fiambalá, Catamarca in the northern part of Argentina, not too far from Salta. Aguijón de Abeja is a celebration of the worker bees that help out in the vineyard. Bonarda is one of Argentina’s most exciting but less talked about grape varieties.
This is bright and pure with perfumed dark plums and blackberries as well as good & well rounded tannin.
