Jean-François Coche-Dury is an absolute cult Domaine. Robert Parker describes them as 'one of the greatest winemakers on planet earth'.
In 2010 he handed the winery down to his son Raphael who has been working alongside him for almost a decade. Raphael introduced some subtle changes, for example a new pneumatic press!
Whilst the fame of the Domaine is mostly built on his Meursaults, his Aligoté could on tasting blind almost be mistaken for one. The domaine covers just over 10 hectares, and counts 8.5 hectares of Chardonnay and Aligoté.
This is pure with minerality and precision, also due to the cooler vintage 2014, and offers tremendous complexity.
