Established in the 1920s, Domaine René et Vincent Dauvissat is one of the finest, if not the finest, domaines in Chablis. Vincent started working with his father in 1976 and has run the domaine since.
The Domaine owns 11 hectares of the best vineyard land split between two Grands Cru and three Premier Crus sites. Yields are small and the attention to detail in the winery mindblowing. The grapes are fermented in enamel tanks where the juice remains for a year before being transferred to oak barrels. Dauvissat mostly work with used oak barrels that don't impart much oak flavour to the wine, but add some fine texture to the pure and beautifully intense wines.
