Description

The specially selected grain, the slow distillation and carefully considered casks were vital in creating this iconic unpeated single malt. Great structure. Firm, muscular and more complex than expected. Several layers of flavour are melding into a barley sugar and oak mellowed texture while drifting over sweet kiln-dried barley. The senses are singing with joy as it zings over the palate leaving no doubt as to the island of its birth. The nose is fruits and floral with crisp apple, pear and orange zest, giving way to oak and cereal notes. The palate is soft and creamy with elderflower and honeysuckle leading to barley sugar. sea salt, vanilla, coconut and cedarwood. The finish is long and lingering with dried fruits, citrus and a touch of sea spray.
