Tasmania produces wonderful delicate still wines and is well known for its old-world styled Chardonnays and Pinots. Cold climate and long ripening periods give the grapes the necessary kick of acidity they require in order to produce top quality sparkling wines with a long ageing ability. The Jansz is made in the traditional Champagne Method (known as Methode Tasmanoise) where the wine undergoes a second fermentation and ageing on its lees in the bottle. Gorgeous, lush stone-fruits with that slightly yeasty saltiness supported by verve acidity.
