This fresh and delightful Dolcetto comes from a number of vineyards in the Dogliani DOCG in Piemonte, in soils varying from calcareous to clay. The grapes are fermented on their skins for 6 or 7 days adding great complexity, whilst the 8-10 months in lined concrete vats and stainless steel vats with no use of oak keeps the wine wonderfully fresh. This is a beautiful wine for drinking all year round, but can even be slightly chilled to enjoy on a hot summer's day.
'Francesco Boschis is a winery with a vocation for Dolcetto...What sets the wines from this lovely farm estate apart is their consistency, and on occasion rusticity, with intense, vigorously flavoursome fruit.' Gambero Rosso Italian Wines (Italy's leading wine publication)
'If I had to name one superstar under the radar estate in Piedmont it might very well be Francesco Boschis. The wines are intense, delicious and reliably outstanding. Even better, because Boschis is based in Dogliani and works predominantly with Dolcetto, prices remain remarkably fair for this level of quality.' Antonio Galloni Vinous
'Every time I taste the Francesco Boschis’s wines, I can’t believe how this estate manages to remain so far under the radar. Once again, Boschis has turned out a superb set of wines loaded with personality. I can’t recommend these wines highly enough.' Wine Advocate
