What a brilliant wine. Made from 100% Grand Cru grapes but more importantly based on the 2008 vintage (which will be one of the greats alongside 2002) giving it supreme delicacy and vibrancy. Blended with parcels from the richer 2009 vintage and very precise 2010 harvest, this smells like great Chablis with perfumed, lemony fruit and notes of crushed chalk, followed by white flowers and the merest hint of fresh dairy (thanks to the 30% of the blend that goes through malolactic fermentation). Aged for 5 years on lees this has developed a subtle bready undertone, clearly laid on a bed of vibrant acidity. The sheer intensity delivers a shimmering, quivering glass of liquid pleasure. Dosage 7g/L.
