Producers like Allegrini are a rare breed. Vintage after vintage, the quality of the wines they produce from their 70 hectares is both stellar and impeccable.
The Allegrini Amarone is a legendary wine that has defined the sumptuous style of modern Amarone. Made from an estate blend of Corvina, Oseleta and Rondinella, the grapes are dried for several weeks after harvest to raisin them, removing water and concentrating flavours. The result is a big, powerful wine layered with dark cherry and chocolate flavours, and yet its light on its feet thanks to well balanced acidity. A benchmark northern Italian powerhouse.
